Why I am a damn great portrait photographer!
I worked in advertising and design for around 21 years, and have specialised in photographing people for 19 years. My favourite work has always been projects where real people were photographed and they had a positive, transformative experience.
When a client tells me they have never had a good photo of themselves, I hear a challenge to show them how beautiful they are. The moments when I show them the back of my camera and they see themselves how I see them, and they get tears welling up in their eyes because they look so damn good – that's why I do what I do. When clients see themselves as beautiful, powerful, and – that is why.
